The company CHILI GmbH was founded as a spin-off from the Steinbeis Transferzentrum Medizinische Informatik (STZ-MI) Heidelberg, Germany, in 2002 by three scientists from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany:
Andre Schroeter Uwe Engelmann Hans-Peter Meinzer

The three founders and partners

The development of the CHILI software suite started at the Steinbeis Transferzentrum Medizinische Informatik, Heidelberg, and has been on the market since 1997. It was created on the basis of the findings of several projects funded by the EU and the MEDICUS project, funded by DeTeBerkom GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG.

CHILI GmbH still cooperates closely with the German Cancer Research Center in order to be able to implement the latest research findings and current scientific developments in its products.
