Universal New Features
CHILI has introduced a number of new features and additional functions that can be configured using the CHILI Admin Tool, either by the system administrator or the CHILI Hotline:
-
Worklist Multiplexer: A new tool for creating a common worklist
Using the Worklist Multiplexer you can query multiple worklist servers simultaneously in order to generate a common worklist. Image data is reassigned to the appropriate partner after creation, on the basis of the associated worklist entry. -
SSL client certificates: A new access control tool for use with web-based CHILI applications
This tool can by used to create and manage certificates for secure access to web-based CHILI applications via HTTPS. This allows client-based control of access permissions for web-based CHILI applications. -
CD/DVD Burn Gateway: A new module for monitoring CD or DVD burning
This new module provides a status interface for monitoring CD or DVD burning. You can display various details such as the patient data, date the burn command was sent and the burning status of each burn command as well as being able to start burning manually, if you have an appropriate license. -
Display number of images in a series/study in the database
You may now display the number of images for the selected study or series in an additional column in the database view. -
Statistical analysis of studies
This tool allows you to generate statistics on the number of examinations in a given timeframe or on the number of images generated per examination. -
Download database dump files
You can now display a summary of database dump files and download them.
CHILI/Workstation - Selected Features
-
Set default tool to load when opening studies
You may now specify a default tool to be loaded automatically when you open a study. -
Configure light box sort criteria
You can specify the order in which the images in the light box are displayed according to a number of sort criteria, for example, by main axes, image number, layer position or part of the body. -
Display and edit reports and other notes
A new "Reports" workspace has been added, which may be used to display reports and other short texts or notes assigned to a study in the RIS, or enter new text. -
Display number of images in a series/study in the database
You can now display the number of images for the selected study or series in an additional column in the database view. -
Save layout settings of studies in database folders
You are able to save the layout settings for a study (e.g. the number of light boxes open, the series loaded for this study, the image tiling settings, etc.) by copying the study into a folder. You can also save different layout settings for a single study in CHILI Workstation by copying the study to separate folders containing the different layouts you wish to save it with (folder-specific hanging).
CHILI/Web - New Modules
-
Uploading films and images with the scanner module
CHILI/Web now has a new module that allows scanned films and color or text documents to be uploaded. Both X-ray image scanners and TWAIN compatible scanners may be operated with this module. Using the worklist server, you can also generate DICOM data from the scanned images. The scanned images are compared to the data in a modality worklist and added to the CHILI database. -
Sending data with the Transfer module
The new Transfer module allows you to send data directly from the web interface. You may send individual images, or complete series or studies. The data can be sent to a partner either from the server or from the client. The configuration of server-side communication partners can be performed using the CHILI/Admin tool by the system administrator or the CHILI Hotline; local partners may be configured in CHILI/Web. -
Burning CDs or DVDs with the CD Export module
The CD Export module allows image data to be burnt on CD or DVD directly from the web interface. You are able to use any CD or DVD writer connected to the local system. Optionally, an image viewer may be automatically included with the data on the CD or DVD.
CHILI/Web - Selected Features
-
Export images with predefined profiles
Export profiles allow you to predefine and save various parameters such as the target folder, export name, export format, magnification factor, quality or compression factor and the option for stamping and scaling overlays. -

Advanced data search by timeframe
In the database view you can now also search for data in a specific timeframe, in other words, a specific number of days up to, but not including today, in the future, or up to and including today.
