Dear Readers, the telemedicine record by CHILI is steadily becoming more popular. As the Heidelberg Ion-Beam Therapy Center (HIT) had implemented this CHILI product at the end of last year, the telemedicine record has now been acquired by the ISIS Project of the Heidelberg University Hospital. In the future it will also be used in the Middle East to exchange radiological images. With best springtime regards Your CHILI-Team |

Heidelberg ISIS Project Integrates the Telemedicine Record by CHILI The intersectoral patient file ISIS enables electronic access to the relevant data necessary for the treatment of common patients of the Heidelberg University Hospital and the hospitals of the Health Centres Rhine Neckar gGmbH (charitable limited company), (GRN). "The two main goals for ISIS are: We intend to ease the access to treatment relevant information for common patients and to involve the patient himself more actively. With CHILI GmbH we have found the perfect partner to integrate the DICOM images IHE conform into the file without duplicating at the same time all involved PACS systems." Prof. Dr. Björn Bergh, director of the Centre for Information and Medicine Technology, Heidelberg University Hospital.

CHILI/Telemedicine Record in the Middle East Under commission from the Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), CHILI is developing an international exchange platform for medical images. The medical leadership of the project lies with the 3iii - inventing international imaging GmbH - a spin-off of the Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin (DHZB, German Heart Institute Berlin) headed by Dr. Boris Schmitt and Prof. Titus Kühne. The project aims to exchange radiological images from the Middle East for gaining primary or secondary findings. The CHILI/Telemedicine Record is used as the software platform, which cannot only process DICOM images but also multimedia documents, measurements and texts. The servers will be positioned in Berlin and Ramallah (Palestinian autonomous territories in the West Bank). |
